- Door actuator plate
- While I have been waiting in between coats of paint on the fuse box, I thought I would put back together the front door air operated actuator.
- I love highlighting beautiful equipment even though you don't see it. Craftmanship at it's best.
- The black plate that it is mounted to I remade because the original was rusted through in a few areas.
- You can't see the penetrating rust in this picture but it nearly goes all the way through in a few spots.

- I started putting things back on today.
- The engine once again supports itself and is at 90 degrees.
- Things put back on are the cross member, water pump, engine mount and front bumper support brackets.
- What I mean by that is that they weren't replaced they were put through the wire wheel on the
- bench grinder to get all the rust off. Then they got the tap and die treatment. Since they were rusty that means
- they are not surface protected anymore so before reassembly the
- shaft was treated with graphite grease and the head and tail were painted after assembly.

- I received the 2 blocks of rubber today to experiment on making a new front engine mount. The original had seen better days.
- If this works then I will make another for the Leyland providing they are the same.
- It was just a guess really with the strength side of it because no one really knows the stress loads of the original.
- These blocks are 75 x 75 x 250mm.
- I only needed it to be 150 x 50mm but couldn't get one that size.
- I even tried to get a solid rubber wheel but no go.
- Bit of waste but I wont care if it works.
- Doing 2 halfs will suffice.
