I bought some of this stuff (Metal Rescue) the other day to see if it actually works.
Below on the right are 2 injectors that have been chemically treated and the one on the left hasn't.
The injectors are rust coated with something because I put water on one of them for 24 hrs or so and no sign of rust starting.

I have decided to go back to do this job.
Making this to fit exactly wont be a quick and easy job.
I have the rubber blocks which I think will do the job.
This may look straight forward but the internal and externals are concave just to make it that much more delightful. This is the one and only front engine mount.
Then I can put the engine back together.
I did some measurements of the frame the rubber mount sits in and the rubber comes up short.
No wonder the engine was as rough and noisy and vibrating on the body.
The only part of this rubber mount that was useful was the part at the very bottom taking all the weight.

New engine mount in. The engine is once more supporting itself.
Normally with the rubber mount you can turn it around to use the end that has more body to it but this one I did try that and it just collapsed.
The rubber is very soft.
I'd say that it has had it's day.

I'm needing the room on my bench to tackle the fuel tank so I'm putting finished bits back on.
This is the heaviest thing I have taken off, the main air tank for brakes, working the gearbox etc.
