I have spent the last day or so going through and checking out the posts and rails.
I have replaced the back exit door post because of it being bent and lots of dingles.
Some of the straight rails which are 25mm I have replaced when needed.
The very back offside post was really bad.
It looked like it was used for pole dancing or something.
I don't have another spare so will have to source that.
Now that most of the end brackets and sockets have been sorted I will file and sand dents and scratches out and send them away to be chromed.

Because I started doing this window I wanted to finish it.
I really don't recommend pulling all this apart unless you really have to.
The outside aluminium panel goes on first then the inside panel goes on with the flange being hammered flat around the steel body panel.
This type of job really only likes to be done once because getting it off means you have to peel the flange back to get it off.
In this buses case the steel frame it was formed around was badly rusted and needed attention.
The first picture here shows it back together.
It's not what I would have liked but hey these buses weren't perfect to start with.
