With all our spare time we have been working on our 1937 AEC Regal restoration project.
Today we managed to get the engine started.
It's the first time it has started in over 40 years, safe to say we are over the moon!!

An immaculate restoration.
Well done that man. Deserves a medal!
Norman Julian
The only thing is Gregor is that this is what it looked like before I started to restore it.

Norman Julian oops hope I haven’t offended you! It does look good from this distance!
Norman Julian

It’s such a pity that new buses and trains are basically plastic, glass and small amounts of metal all glued together. No character whatsoever.
No craftsmanship either.
Only a few years ago you could tell the difference between a government bus and a private bus from miles away...

2509 is still at Inverell as far as I know!

Ben Summers
I spy a Humber Snipe beside it!
John Clarke
My grandfather had that model of Humber Super Snipe, and the one after it.

Soon to change in time

It is safe up there.
They were talking about getting it back 5 years ago.
The SBM is overflowing anyhow.
