Here is the last of the glass for 2547.
Every piece of glass has been renewed for this job.
The 2 front drivers windscreen glass has been changed to laminate.
The rest is as it was.
I have placed one nearside fixed piece of glass in position to see how It fits.

I'm really unimpressed with these skin pieces that wrap around the steel that acts as a window frame for the brass window frames.
Taking them off to inspect things underneath didn't do them any favours.
All the 31 seaters that I have inspected all performed poorly in this area.
I'm going to attempt to make new ones to fit better around the steel frames.
The problem I'm suggesting is the window frames hit the sides of these skins and tend to fowl on them and not close properly.

New glass is a game changer for the finished look A++

With what I said the other day with these aluminium window sections that are moulded for the steel frames around the front 2 push-out windows.
I put one in as pictured and I am not happy with the fitment and the way they generally look.
I said that I was going to remake them, but that was determined on my ability to making them and how they will fit.
The bender/folder that I bought for another purpose was tested to see just how close together I could fold them at 90 degrees without too much trouble.
Even with these tight fitting sections that I made, there is still only 4mm clearance for the windows to fit the frame.
No wonder the windows always fowled on the frames. Anyway, early days yet.
This will be a test of my patience.
