Discussion November

- There has been a few people ask me about this bus being built on a double decker chassis and also AEC etc.
- I put these photos up to better explain.
- The first photo is a typical d/decker rear platform.
- You can see the 2 forks that a steel frame has been built on for the timber flooring to be screwed on to.
- The forks are lower than the existing chassis so as to hop on easier.
- The next picture in primer is a single deck bus chassis.
- The chassis is of equal length from front to back.
- The next photo is this project, the Leyland rear platform with a "Z" pattern frame that is built on top of the fork section to the same level as the rest of the floor.
- The AEC is done the same.
- The last photo is the Daimler double decker chassis.
- This has been done a little different with the forks been actually cut off and replaced with a steel structure that is level with the existing floor.
- You may have to have a closer look at that photo to see and understand.
- I hope you now get a better understanding.
