Unusual door location. Central position.
I like it though.

Was there sliding doors on this bus Chris Dempsey or no doors?
Chris Dempsey
I think just open entrance no door Norm
Jane Jones
Centre door was quite common in some parts of the UK at various times.
The operator with the longest name, Stalybridge,Hyde Mossley and Duckinfield Joint Electricity and Traction Board (AKA 'The Joint Board') had a thing about centre doors during the fifties.
The forward entrance ovetook the centre entrance meaning the driver could watch and operate the doors.
Accelerated by the move to rear engined buses.
One of the main problems with front and centre entrance 'deckers is the difficulty of incorporating them into the lowbridge layout.
Only with advent of the low height bus, like the Bristol Lodekka, did the front entrance really become popular.

Very interesting Jane, thanks.
