A couple were just loose in the sockets they sat in which was soon rectified.
When I moved her into the shed the rear and side route number and destination lights stopped working.
Today for a change I tried to find out why.
Firstly I discovered the switch that operates all of them at once.
I put a testing light on but there was no power coming through.
I traced where the wire comes through till it dissappeared into the floor.
I went back and jiggled the wire but no success.
Then without doing anything the lights came on.
Definitely gremlins somewhere.
In the pictures below you can see the difference between the front and back.

Probably just dirt on the contacts:
takes a while for the electrons to burn through it

Gremlins that look a lot like rats are more likely

Not good Norman I hope these.
Lights don’t hold you up for too long
Good luck

This is the rear destination box and the wiring to it.
The wire to the right up the top that dissappears goes to the front of the bus.
The wire to the left goes through the wall and hooks up to the rear route number lights and the 3rd one in the middle bottom goes to the destination light.

Interesting how this light settup is different to the front.
I'm thinking this is off a more modern bus.
David Wilson could answer this

should have festoon globes - maybe missing and these sustituted by Alastair

These light fittings look at home with the door.
Maybe either Alistair replaced the door or it was done sometime before decommission.
He did tell me he replaced the route number mechanism
