Nothing to do with a TD5, just a nice pic of a Newcastle decker!

Yes it is John Clarke.
It looks like an OPDY2.
Not including the TD5 this is the 2nd generation Leyland after the TD5.
[I think]
Carle Gregory
could have been my uncle driving this as he was a bus driver in Newcastle and funnily enough lived at Wallsend
Norman Julian
I couldn't imagine driving one of these for an 8 hr shift.
A second series leopard yes, these no.
Carle Gregory
he was the one that told me about the "Frogs" they had, half cabin types, i think i have pics from my box brownie but dunno where
Norman Julian
Carle Gregory The 31 seaters were not half cabs
Carle Gregory
the ones he called Frog where like this double decker only in a single deck
Norman Julian
Just how old are you Carle Gregory! Box "Bloody "Brownie LOL
Norman Julian
Carle Gregory Don't know!
Maybe they called all those small buses "Frogs"!
I was told that the 31 seaters were called that.
Someone from the old school would know.
Carle Gregory
yep still got it my first camera, if i remember correctly 12 B/W phots and only 8 Colour, code 620 came in a box with flash and all
Peter Phelan
Carle Gregory I've still got the camera and some negatives.
Peter Phelan
I used to like sitting at the driver's window and watch them struggle to pull away from the kerb etc.
Chris Dempsey
