: Steve. This isn't the first time I have welded aluminium I had a few lessons with the guy next doors welder, only a few like this sample but I picked up the basics. This here you see was done by this welder.
: With aluminium the material has to be clean. Most of the guys that say aluminium welding is easy probably only welds thicker and brand new material.
: That's not brain surgery stuff. In saying that you still have to know what you are doing with what I said before having a steady hand and consistent with the dobbing of the rod.

: I liked mig welding Ive never done Aluminium .
: Arc was a pain I could never get the voltage right thus blowing holes like swiss cheese ��

: Mig welding is easy compared to anything else.
: You can weld through gal with paint or dirt on the material.
: It doesn't love welding through paint and dirt but it will.

Busy day today.
: My next neighbour gave me a helping hand today with my new welder.
: He is a welder by trade and was really impressed with this welder.
: Here in these photos is a few practice runs then the real test on this really old and thin aluminium that's off the bus.
: It's a little rough but it does the job.
