: It's that time of the year again the threat of bushfires is always there.
: Last year we had a threat of bushfires around my place and I was really worried for everything I have built up over the years especially the bus I have worked on for so long.
: I was going to get an old truck with a water tank or even an ex fire truck but now I have a grand idea.
: Because of the new shed with a pretty big rain catchment I am going to put 2 x rainwater tanks consisting of around 25,000 litres in each tank to protect the property.
: I already have a fire pump so 50,000 litres of water should be enough for any immediate threat.
: The water can also be used to wash cars etc.
: The other thing is if the local bushfire brigade need water they can take water from here.

: And I assume you clear the immediate surrounding area of all flammable vegetation etc?
: What a challenge.

: Probably hard for you to imagine right now.
: It's probably 0 to 5 degrees at your place whereas it is 35 degrees here right now.

: But it worries me too - workshop fires happen in the cold too!
