Metal Bender

Norman Julian 11th May
The last few days I was busy making this stand for the bender/roller/guillotine machine I bought a few weeks ago.
I didn't want it to take up valuable bench space because it wont be used all that often.
This way, I can lign it up with any bench I made and feed the metal sheets into it.
I went overboard with the castors so as to not get flat spots when standing around in the one position.
Today, I was busy trying to put stuff on it, that the instructions with one drawing (pictured) was leaving a lot to be desired.
There was also quite a bit of adjustment to be made to what the factory did.
The Chinese used to be good copiers of stuff but the end result was questionable.
Anyway, I have tested all three jobs it has to do and I have to train myself on how to use it properly.
By the way, I had to use the engine hoist to lift it on to the stand.

I'm thinking of getting one of those, interested in what your thoughts are n it once you're doing some work with it.

That'll make the job easier Norman Julian! 🙂
